Stay Informed: The Forms You Need to Build a Brand (Discover your Triangle of Genius and Build Your Brand )
Every once in a while, I like to unplug from the online work I do for Nifty Thrifty. So I’ll download a form and print it out. Some may prefer to stick to the screen, or we can also be respectful of the environment by laminating it and using it as a dry erase board. Then I start scratching my brain by scribbling some ideas to help my brand grow.
So for the next couple of posts, I’ll be sharing some templates to help you start or grow your own brand. The first: a branding template.
Discover your Triangle of Genius and Build Your Brand .
This one is pretty self-explanatory: spend some time filling out each of the boxes in the brand template. OK, you have a business name, but what’s your mission? What’s your vision? And we’re thinking about passion. What excites you?
This is where the computer or dry-erase markers come in handy, as you can keep writing different answers until you can start to see your Triangle of Genius emerging.
Get to Know Your Audience
The next one is geared toward people in sales and marketing, and have probably already discovered their Triangle of Genius. Now, they want to focus more on their audience—their customers. Let’s say I have a patient, Mrs. Jones, coming in. Before I see Mrs. Jones, I try to figure out everything I can about her, so our time together is well spent.
I want to know, what does she do for a living? How old is she? What’s her gender? Her education? All the basic stuff. But then it goes beyond the basics as we get into behaviors, motivations, and more. This way, we can match our Triangle of Genius to different segments of our audience.
