Part 3 of Stay Informed: The Forms You Need to Build a Brand (Mapping Out the Goals for your Brand)
In my last post, I explained how, every once in a while, I like to unplug from the online work I do for Nifty Thrifty. So I’ll download a form and print it out. Some may prefer to stick to the screen, or we can also be respectful of the environment by laminating it and using it as a dry erase board.
Then I start scratching my brain by scribbling some ideas to help my brand grow. So I’m now sharing some templates to help you start or grow your own brand. This one is a great entrepreneurial tool for planning your goals
Mapping Out the Goals for your Brand.
I’d never seen anything like this until someone in my network shared it with me. It’s called a mind map planner, and it looks like it’s all over the place—because it is all over the place. But it’s an incredible tool.
In the center, you write your end goal. In this case, it’s the launch party of my upcoming book on industry influence. This could be any goal or project, from creating a website to attending a conference based on your Triangle of Genius.
How to Gain Influence through Mindset
Based on your project, the mind-map planner helps you go through each variable going into its success. When I’m looking at my book, I need to think about marketing, sales, and implementation. In this case, implantation branches out to the upper bubble of “copywriting,” which branches out to its own to-do list. It’s basically a way to brainstorm, with accountability and a track record of your ideas.
What I love about the mind-map planner is how you can begin with one idea and it begins to come clear. It also makes delegating tasks to team members a snap. When they see the end goal at the center, they’re more motivated to jump on board.
